THE BUZZ: As a part of today’s flood of 3DS news from Nintendo, Nintendo of America president and COO Reggie Fils-Aime presents the first episode of Nintendo Direct.

In the video, Reggie goes over the big points of the new announcements, talking about all of the great features coming to the 3DS, 3D content arriving soon in the Nintendo eShop, and showing off a bit of big upcoming titles like Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7.

EGM’s TAKE: Near the beginning of the video, Reggie says: “For this first installment, we’ve got important news if you’re an owner of Nintendo 3DS, or just thinking about becoming one. And really, if you’re neither one yet, what’s wrong with you?”

Maybe it’s because there are too many games out there to buy and play for the hardware I already own Reggie! Thanks for reminding me that I’m just some poor hobo who doesn’t live in the exciting new world of 3D yet!
