Sony has revealed that it is “nearly time” for a “major” system software update for PlayStation 4. However, the company could use a little help testing it before it’s pushed live.
Interested PlayStation 4 owners can sign up for the closed beta test here. Successful applicants will receive an email with instructions on how to download the beta version of the next system software.
PlayStation 4 owners will need a console with an internet connection and access to a Master Account to take part in the beta.
Exact details of what’s included in the upcoming update were not shared, but Sony promised that it will reveal the included features “soon.”
Testers of PlayStation 4’s last system software beta, version 4.00, got to try out the new UI refresh, Folders, the revised Quick Menu, and more before the software officially launched.
