THE BUZZ: A U.K. retailer has listed both the The Dark Knight Rises and Battlefield Evolved in a 2012 release schedule.

The schedule, obtained by MCV, lists the unannounced Batman title, which is expected to be a movie tie-in by Warner Bros. Battlefield Evolved looks to be either a handheld or mobile title given that Medal of Honor is EA’s major shooter for this year. Both games are listed for a Fall 2012 release.

The schedule also lists Grand Theft Auto V for Fall 2012.

EGM’s TAKE: A movie tie-in game is pretty much a given for such a major franchise, the question is who will be on development, Rocksteady or NetherRealm? Based on the fact that Rocksteady would only have had under a year since Arkham City it would be a hell of a rush job for them to be behind the title. EA has mentioned that it is working on a new mobile title after Battlefield 3: Aftershock was pulled from the App store, so it stands a good chance that this is what Evolved is. I guess we’ll just have to wait to find out more details on both of these titles.
