Remastered Resident Evil announced for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC

Posted on August 5, 2014 AT 03:39am

Capcom has announced that it will be bringing a remastered version of the original Resident Evil to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC in 2015.

The remake is based off the 2002 GameCube version, and features upgraded resolutions and textures, and support for 1080p on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Players will also have the option of either playing in the original 4:3 ratio or a new updated 16:9 widescreen mode.

If you fancy a bit more choice, there’s also two control schemes available. “The classic control scheme remains for fans of the original play style or there’s an alternative scheme where the character moves directly in the direction of the analogue stick, utilizing the standards of the current generation of gaming. Both the control scheme and the display options can be toggled between at any time during gameplay,” Capcom explains.

The game will be available early 2015 in North America and Europe.
