Report: First actor for Ridley Scott’s Halo project cast

Posted on May 15, 2014 AT 07:19am

Actor Mike Colter has been cast in Ridley Scott’s recently announced live-action Halo project, not be confused with the Halo television series that Steven Spielberg is involved in.

The Wrap has heard from “multiple individuals familiar with the project” that Colter, known for roles in The Following and The Good Wife, will take on the role of Marlowe, a rising star in a futuristic army who is unsure about things that are happening  in the military industrial complex where he is based.

When contacted, Colter’s representatives had no comment on the rumor.

The project, touted as a ”digital feature project,” has been written by Prison Break creator Paul Scheuring, with Sergio Mimica-Gezzan (Battlestar Galactica) directing.

Ridley Scott’s project will not follow the exploits of Master Chief, like the Steven Spielberg television series, and instead focuses on a surgically-enhanced super soldier, according to The Wrap. It is set to release later this year.
