The mystery 3DS title Nintendo’s teased for E3 2014 may be something called Mario Maker, according to a picture of Nintendo’s E3 show floor presence in its early stages obtained by Nintendo Enthusiast.
The photo (seen above), shows a hand holding a stylus (presumably the 3DS stylus) moving components to a, barring the quality of the photo, an 8-bit Mario world. Provided this isn’t an elaborate hoax designed to exploit how the games press will bite at any juicy rumors, it stands to reason what we’re looking at is Mario–themed, GameMaker–style platformer-construction software.
Nintendo’s E3 2014 Digital Event livestream kicks off at 9 a.m PT on June 10. The House of Mario will also be broadcasting livestreams from the show floor with developers from the Nintendo Treehouse all week, and on June 10 at 4 p.m. PT will host the Super Smash Bros. Invitation tournament.
