According to a report from MCV, Nintendo will soon offer their own take on subscription-based goodie boxes like Loot Crate, Nerd Block, and 1Up Box. The Big N’s offering will allegedly be called the “N-Box.”

With no lack of marketable franchises, such as the Super Mario series, The Legend of Zelda, and Pokémon, Nintendo will surely have an easy time filling their N-Boxes with toys, clothes, stickers, comics, and other merchandise. In fact, Nintendo has sent out some themed boxes before, though always through other companies. Their amiibo line was first distributed through Loot Crate, and a Nintendo-themed Z-box is planned for September.

If the N-Box follows the model of most other subscription box services, fans can expect to either buy boxes individually, or subscribe to a multi-month plan.

Nintendo has yet to confirm the existence of any such service, and as such no pricing, dates, or further details are currently known.
