Sony may be unveiling their long-rumored virtual reality headset at the Game Developer’s Conference in San Francisco next month, TechRadar reports.

According to the site’s sources, “the quality and resolution” of Sony’s VR headset “are really, really good.” Rumors that Sony was developing an Oculus Rift competitor emerged September 2013, with word that it would be released late this year. One of TechRadar’s source said that “Sony has deliberately taken its time to tweak and polish the headset before revealing it” as opposed to routinely demonstrating a prototype like Oculus has done with the Rift.

GDC 2014 kicks off March 17 and lasts through March 21 and will be held in the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Ray and Josh will both be in attendance, covering the conference.
