Former Infinity Ward president Jason West has left Respawn Entertainment, reports Polygon.
Rumors and reports of West’s departure have been circling the Net for a few days now. According to Polygon, this departure has nothing to do with the studio itself, but rather something family related.
West left Infinity Ward along with Vince Zampella in 2010. The two formed Respawn Entertainment in the wake of a fallout with Activision that led to lawsuits. Since 2011, thestudio has been working on a sci-fi shooter to be published by EA. According to a tweet from Zampella, at this year’s E3 he has “no intention of showing up empty handed.”
There has been no official word yet from Respawn about the matter.
