The Resident Evil 2 remake is by far one of the better-looking remakes we’ve seen, and that’s before seeing its recent E3 2018 gameplay running in glorious 4K.
The remake of Resident Evil 2 debuted its first trailer during PlayStation’s E3 2018 showcase, and Capcom demoed the game at its booth later in the week. The demo took fans through an early phase of protagonist Leon Kennedy’s first night on patrol in Raccoon City, and while its original presentation was impressive, watching its highlights in 4K is something extra.
In addition to Leon’s campaign, the Resident Evil 2 remake will feature a second campaign that follows Claire Redfield, sister of series hunk Chris Redfield. Unlike how the original game overlapped these two characters’ stories, the remake’s dual campaigns will be separate experiences, with only narrative connections tying them together.
Resident Evil 2 is slated to launch January 25th, 2019, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. For the best looking version on consoles, the game will feature enhancements for the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.
