Resident Evil

The long-awaited remaster of Resident Evil 2 will officially arrive on January 25th, 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The launch date was revealed during PlayStation’s E3 press conference, along with a new trailer that shows off the beautiful graphics awaiting players. As seen in the clip, series regulars Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield will once again be taking on lickers and even the bioweapon Mr. X. According to Capcom, the game will use Resident Evil 7‘s impressive RE Engine to deliver a new over-the-shoulder camera, realistic visuals, immersive audio, and modern controls.

It appears the remake will closely follow the events of the original game, which had Leon and Claire searching for a way out of Raccoon City before the Umbrella Corporation can send a nuclear missile to destroy it.

Resident Evil 2 will launch for PlayStation 4 on January 25th, 2019.
