In a brilliant bit of advertisement, Capcom is promoting a pre-order deal for Resident Evil 6 with a promotional gift that looks great on many different levels. When you pick up the upcoming survival horror game via the Capcom Store, you can get a full-size “Umbrella Corp. Umbrella,” effectively turning you into a walking billboard for the corrupt pharmaceutical company.

If you just want the umbrella, it’s currently backordered, although you can get a good look at it over at the Capcom Store.

It’s pretty large, with a 48-inch arc and the right color scheme to prop up at the beach (if you live in California) or keep the snow off you (if you live on the East Coast).

It also comes with a custom sleeve, just to drive the marketing and logo recognition home. Plus, it’s a doubly effective brand. Anyone who plays video games will wink and nod when they see it in public. Most other people who aren’t cool like that will just think it’s an umbrella company that isn’t involved in biological warfare.
