Resident Evil

Capcom has released a new update for Resident Evil 7 that finally adds support for Xbox One X.

Once the update is installed, owners of Microsoft’s most powerful console will get support for 4K and HDR, as well as “improved skin tone display through Screen-Space Subsurface Scattering.”

To demonstrate the improvements, Microsoft has released a new trailer that compares the original Xbox One release with the enhanced Xbox One X update.

Resident Evil 7 is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

“This is easily the best Resident Evil game in years. It masterfully blends Eastern and Western horror sensibilities into a truly terrifying package that also harkens back to the series’ roots,” we said in our review of the game.
