THE BUZZ: Capcom has announced the official release date for the free Spec Ops DLC coming to Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. 

The DLC will be available April 10 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 completely free of charge, and adds new Spec Ops mission to the game.

EGM’s TAKE: This is just the first mission of what is presumably a few months worth of DLC for the game. The plan is to offer the first piece for free in order to hook players into paying for all the subsequent ones. This plan will only work if this mission is actually any good, which based on the game’s review scores it probably won’t be. But it’s free DLC so you can’t really complain right?
