THE BUZZ: Jill Valentine—ever the master of unlocking—today broke into Capcom’s secret information vault and brought back the official release date for Resident Evil Revelations in North America.

That date? February 7th, 2012.

The first totally new Resident Evil project for Nintendo’s 3DS, Resident Evil Revelations will see Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield teaming up with new BSAA members Parker Luciani and Jessica Sherawat. The four are trying to uncover the truth about the Veltro terrorist organization, and their connection to the T-Abyss virus outbreak.

EGM’s TAKE: After having just downloaded the remake of Resident Evil: Code Veronica X last night, I got to thinking—why does Chris get to be a major star in so many Resident Evil games? He should really share the spotlight a little with some of the other characters out there!

Jill, however—Capcom could put her in every game, and I’d be fine with that! (Especially now that she’s back to being a brunette.)
