Developer Housemarque has released a pair of videos that give a behind-the-scenes look at their upcoming PS4 launch title, Resogun.
As seen in the videos (embedded below), Resogun’s worlds are constructed from 3D cubes called voxels. The worlds themselves are thematically inspired by Greek and Roman mythology.
A spiritual successor to Super Stardust HD, Resogun was first announced during Gamescom 2013 earlier this year. It will be available for free at launch to PlayStation Plus members.
“I’ve always considered shooters to be maybe the purest form of gameplay,” lead programmer Harry Krueger says in the first video. “I mean, it’s shoot-revive-improve—that loop over and over again gets you in the zone like nothing else.”
Resogun launches exclusively for PlayStation 4 when the system arrives November 15 in North America, November 29 in Europe.
