Respawn will not ban Titanfall players with legitimate copies before launch

Posted on March 7, 2014 AT 03:08am

Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that it will not ban Titanfall users who own a legitimate copy of the game and play online before the official release date.

Players who managed to get hold of a legitimate retail copy before launch can go ahead and play online as much as they desire, but Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella did warn that there may be some server downtime over the next few days.

Earlier this week, EA confirmed that Titanfall would have a season pass that will cost $24.99, granting access to three planned pieces of DLC at a discounted price.

Titanfall is set to release March 11 in North America and March 13 in Europe (March 14 in the U.K.) for Xbox One and PC. An Xbox 360 release will follow two weeks later.
