Retro City Rampage Heading to PlayStation 3, Vita and PC

THE BUZZ: Vblank Entertainment has announced that Retro City Rampage will be coming to an additional three platforms when it releases this May.

Originally slated for Xbox Live and WiiWare, the title will now also see release on PC and the PlayStation Network for both PlayStation 3 and Vita. The game is basically a parody of the old 8-bit fighting games like Double Dragon mashed up with the top-down Grand Theft Auto titles, featuring a ton of pop culture and video game references.

EGM’s TAKE: It’s no surprise to see this small Indie, which is poised to be a  hit, make it’s way onto more platforms for launch. The hype surrounding the title has been growing substantially over the last several months, so it’s no wonder that Sony wanted a piece of the action. Retro City doesn’t take itself seriously which is what we love about it, it’s just a pure nostalgia trip for gaming fans.

Will you be buying the game? Leave a comment below.
