THE BUZZ: Trion Worlds has announced that this weekend will be  free to play for its MMO Rift, and account upgrades will also be offered at a discount.

The free gameplay will last until Monday October 17th and users will be able to purchase the Ashes of History upgrade at a discount during that time. There will also be a 24 hour Rift charity marathon October 15th where players can earn new titles.

EGM’s TAKE: A weekend of free game time, you can’t really complain about that.
