Riot Games Uses Stats to Prove That Players Who Rage Lose More Often

League of Legends developer Riot Games has released a new video, which uses statistics to prove that getting angry doesn’t help anyone, in an effort to promote team work.

According to Riot, players who show sportsmanlike conduct win over 1.7 million more games a day than angry players. “What some players fail to understand is epic comebacks don’t come from berating your teammates,” Riot said. “Rage doesn’t win games.”

The developer added that each “negative” player on a team decreases your chances of winning. On a team with “zero ragers” the win rate is around 54 percent on average, however if you’re on a team with three ragers the win rate drops to 46 percent.
