Tomb Raider

The Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration is launching this fall, bringing new story, added co-op, and (finally) the launch of the PlayStation 4 version of the game.

October 11th marks the first time Rise of the Tomb Raider will be playable on Sony’s console, but that’s not the only version of the game getting an update. Along with first-time PS4 players, Xbox and PC fans will also be able to jump into “Blood Ties,” a completely new story chapter centered around Lara’s legacy in Croft Manor. Then, they can all defend that same manor from zombies in “Lara’s Nightmare.”

Additionally, a brutal new “Extreme Survivor” difficulty setting increases the difficulty of the game and strips out checkpoints, forcing Lara to forage enough resources to survive all the way from one campfire to the next.

Finally, for those who’ve already purchased the Endurance DLC or Season Pass, a free co-op upgrade will be headed to Endurance mode. Team up with a friend to stave off hunger and danger, sharing resources in order to survive.

PlayStation 4 players will have access to all previously released DLC right away, including the Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch story addition and the Cold Darkness Awakened pack.

Grab the update for Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC?or pick up the game for the first time on the PlayStation 4?on October 11th.
