What do the stars of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale do when they’re not locked in mortal combat with one another? That’s the answer that Robot Chicken looks to find tonight.

“When PlayStation asked us at Robot Chicken to literally ‘play’ with their all-star line-up of characters, we were not about to say no,” Robot Chicken co-creator and executive producer Matthew Senreich writes on the official PlayStation Blog today. “To make this animated short, we got one of our Head Writers Douglas Goldstein and our super gamer writers Mike Fasolo and Rachel Bloom (check out her geek videos on YouTube) to create this fun off-hours scenario for all our favorite PlayStation characters. Then we got our super geek director/writer Zeb Wells (who y’all may know from his comic book writing history) to dive in and direct. Magic in a bottle.”

Oh, and I know this is a really ridiculous pet peeve, but I hate it when people say “PlayStation” in reference to Sony Computer Entertainment. PlayStation is a brand, not an organization or group of people; even people from Sony do this sometimes, and it drives me crazy.
