Psyonix has announced that it will be holding an anniversary event for Rocket League this month.
The third anniversary event will run from July 9th through July 23rd and introduces an all-new 3v3 “Anniversary” playlist that features the “Throwback Stadium.”
“The goal layout, in particular, is a departure from the modern goal positions seen in the rest of Rocket League’s Arenas, but it does harken back to the old-school days of Battle-Cars, which should tickle the old nostalgia feels quite nicely,” the developer explains.
Alongside this new playlist, players will be able to earn some new anniversary-themed items by redeeming SARPBC 10th Anniversary-themed “Balloons,” which are earned by playing online matches. Players will also find new “Golden Eggs” that contain one of 60 possible Customization Items from the retired Champions Series Crates. These eggs are limited to 10 per player, but do not require keys or decryptors to open.
Rocket League is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
