Rocket League

Psyonix has shared details about its nine-week Radical Summer event for Rocket League, which will begin on June 10th.

The event will be split into three celebrations of the 1980s: Blockbusters, Culture, and Television. Each celebration will last three weeks and players will be able to earn “Cassettes,” which can be traded in for new limited-time items. The items on offer will rotate for each celebration.

During the event, two new premium licensed DLCs will be released. First up is the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 Car Pack, which is coming on June 10th and includes the Ecto-1 Battle-Car, Ecto-1 Wheels, Proton Pack Rocket Boost, Slimer Topper, Ghostbusters Player Banner and Avatar Border, and the Stay Puft Goal Explosion for $1.99. While the second is the Knight Rider Car Pack, which includes K.I.T.T. A release date for this pack has not been announced.

Players will also be getting three limited-time modes during the event: Ghost Hunt, Spike Rush, and Beach Ball. Ghost Hunt will be available until July 1st and is described as a “3v3 mode where each team uses their proton stream power-ups to try to trap the ghostly ball in your opponents’ Containment Zone.” While Spike Rush is a 3v3 mode in which each player has access to the Spike power-up from Rumble and can activate and deactivate it at will.

Finally, Beach Ball “features 2v2 action with a larger ball, low ball gravity, and the Curveball mutator activated.”

Rocket League is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
