Rocket League on Switch will see three exclusive Battle-Cars themed around two plumbers and an intergalactic bounty hunter.
A recent reveal trailer showed off three different cars: one designed around Mario, one around Luigi, and one around Metroid’s Samus Aran. The Samus’ Gunship car is the clear winner in terms of style, but the Mario and Luigi cars definitely bring their own charm. Boost trails will also be unique, with the two Mario-themed cars spitting out stars while the Metroid car shoots a Wave Beam.
Rocket League‘s Switch version was announced during this year’s E3 for release this holiday season. The car models above will be included in the full game, along with other exclusive cosmetic items that include Mario and Luigi hats. The Switch version will also support cross-network play.
Despite an initial launch of over two years ago, Rocket League is still going strong. So strong that the car combat game recently beat out juggernauts like Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm to be the fifth most-watched esport on Twitch in June of this year.
