Psyonix has shared details about a new challenge system that will be introduced with the release of Rocket League’s Rocket Pass 3.
Unlike the previous two Rocket Passes, Rocket Pass 3 will use “Tier Points” to level it up, instead of XP. Tier Points are earned by completing new weekly challenges or earning XP after online matches.
“In Rocket Pass 3, each Tier requires 10 Tier Points to advance to the next Tier,” the developer explains. “Challenges will be worth three, five, and eight Tier Points depending on the difficulty of the Challenge. In addition to the Tier Points you gain from completing Weekly Challenges, you can also Tier-Up from XP as mentioned above. Every time you gain an XP level, you’ll receive 10 Tier Points.”
Weekly challenges will refresh every Wednesday at 10 a.m. PDT throughout Rocket Pass 3 and they must be completed during the week they are active.
Rocket Pass 3 will introduce more than 20 new items to earn in the Free track and more than 50 items to earn in the Rocket Pass Premium Track, including the all-new Guardian Battle-Car. In addition, players can get Painted versions of the Rocket Pass 3 items after reaching tier 70.
Rocket League‘s latest Rocket Pass will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch from April 17th.
