THE BUZZ: Rockstar has laid out its plans for Max Payne 3′s post launch DLC.
Seven packs will be made available throughout 2012 starting with the Local Justice pack in June. This will include the Police Precinct multiplayer map, two unnamed maps, police themed avatar items and multiplayer challenges.
This summer the Dis-organised Crime Map Pack, Deathmatch Made In Heaven Mode Pack, Hostage Negotiation Map Pack and New York Minute Co-Op Pack will all be released.
Due this Fall are the Painful Memories Map Pack and Trickle Down Economics Map Pack.
You can receive all of this content at a discounted price by purchasing the Max Payne 3 Rockstar DLC Pass for 2400 Microsoft Points or $29.99, there is no word of a PC version.
EGM’s TAKE: Rockstar appears to be heavily supporting the game’s multiplayer component post launch, with several new map packs and avatar items scheduled to release. The DLC pass actually looks quite appealing if you’re planning on getting every piece. It looks to offer a pretty hefty savings. This DLC plan hinges on people enjoying Max Payne 3′s multiplayer, if if fails then Rockstar’s plans will be ruined.
