Rockstar is working on a fix for vanishing vehicles and upgrades after leaving them in a garage in Grand Theft Auto V.

A post on the Rockstar Support website states that the issue has been occurring after players customize a vehicle and then complete a mission. Rockstar added that the issue is linked to driving vehicles with characters that do not own the upgrades. Currently there is no workaround to recover vehicles that are lost after placing them in a garage.

“We are looking into a fix to prevent this from occurring in the future,” the developer wrote. “In the meantime, please try to avoid parking a car in a garage, driving one already in a garage, or getting in a default vehicle, when playing as a character other than the one with your upgrades.”
