Rockstar Games is working on a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One title that will be released by March 2015, according to Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick.
“Rockstar Games is hard at work on their upcoming lineup, and we’re excited about what they have in store for the new generation of systems this fiscal year,” Zelnick said in a recent investor call. Take-Two is Rockstar’s parent company, and its fiscal year for 2015 runs from April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2015.
There’s one rather obvious next-gen title that Rockstar could be working on, and that’s Grand Theft Auto V. A port of the last-gen title would make a lot of sense financially. However, there are a few other possibilities. Recently a Windows 8.1 compatibility list surfaced that included a Red Dead Redemption entry, suggesting a PC release is on the cards. Could Rockstar be preparing a new entry in the franchise? A PC release would certainly put it back at the front of people’s minds ahead of an announcement.
There’s also the long forgotten Agent. Rockstar has never officially stated that its canceled, so could this be the year that we finally see it appear? Finally we have Bully 2. Late last year a trademark was filed for Bully Bullworth Academy: Canis Canem Edit, suggesting that a sequel was on the cards, but we’ve heard nothing since.
