Atari has announced that the next RollerCoaster Tycoon game will be a fully-fledged PC release titled RollerCoaster Tycoon World.
Developed by Pipeworks Software, this new title will see players once again put in charge of a virtual theme park as they manage rides, shops, customers, and more. Other players will be able to visit your park, and blueprints for roller coasters can be shared online. The major new addition to this installment is the ability to join with three other players to create and manage a huge theme park.
“Many of the new features in RollerCoaster Tycoon World were not possible a few years ago, but we have taken advantage of technological improvements to offer a wildly fun gaming experience that stays true to the storied franchise,” said Atari CEO Fred Chesnais.
RollerCoaster Tycoon World is set to launch for PC in early 2015, and will be ”micro-transaction free,”according to Atari.
