The latest Rory McIlroy PGA Tour trailer highlights new ball physics, gameplay styles, and courses, plus reveals the game’s official release date.

The trailer breaks down the three different ways you can swing your club, which provides a variety of options on how to play the game. Arcade relies solely on the control stick, and aids like ball boosts and spins are available. Classic uses the old-school three-button press system with a power and accuracy meter to determine how well you shoot the ball. And finally, Tour is the most “pure” in terms of gameplay style, again using the analog stick, but removing all the boosts and assists.

Thanks to the Frostbite 3 engine, this year’s Rory McIlroy also had its ball physics revamped and each golf course has been given more authentic ?personality.? Sawgrass, for example, is known for having higher grass on its fairways and greens, so the ball will bounce and roll less when landing there when compared to better-trimmed courses.

This marks a return for EA?s PGA Tour golf series, which took a year hiatus after their 2013 release back when it was still branded with Tiger Woods. It was announced in March that Rory McIlroy, the world?s current number one ranked golfer, would replace Tiger as the franchise?s brand athlete for its first foray onto new-gen consoles.

Rory McIlroy PGA Tour launches on PS4 and Xbox One July 14.
