Batman

Batman’s next movie may draw from Arkham Asylum from inspiration, according to the latest rumors.

Anonymous sources of the fan site Batman-on-Film report that the next movie (a currently-unnamed flick directed by and starring Ben Affleck) contains a scene where the Dark Knight himself is locked up in the asylum.

While Batman-on-Film emphasizes that the rumor should be taken with a grain of salt, other recent buzz says that the movie will feature “a lot of Batman villains,” something that falls perfectly in line with a visit to the psychiatric hospital where the DC Universe dumps its criminals.

While the story will be original?not a straight adaptation of any of the comics or games?Ben Affleck has previously said that he wishes to “borrow certain things” from pre-existing material (via Batman News). And, well, there’s an entire game based around Batman fighting his way through Arkham against his biggest villains, right there for the taking.

The movie currently doesn’t have a release date.
