Rumor: Assassin’s Creed Joins the American Revolution

THE BUZZ: While there are no facts to back up these claims, the internet is a buzz today with the rumor reported that the next Assassin’s Creed game will take gamers to the 18th century, right smack in the middle of the American Revolution. One indiction for gamers is the ending to Assassin’s Creed: Revelations which showed the player a gold globe that pointed towards the U.S. Another hint came from the recent DLC that gave gamers coordinates to New York. The biggest indication, however, comes from the source itself. Ubisoft’s survey plainly asked its fans if they wanted to be involved in, ”The confrontation between British colonists and native Americans during The American Revolution.” CVG, who broke this story, is reporting that an inside source is claiming Ubisoft will announce the next installment before March 31.
EGM’s TAKE: We’re willing to wager that this rumor is more right than wrong, and those stripped down tower defense segments in the latest entry into the series are indicative of what we can expect in terms of filler missions.
