UPDATE: We just received word from Ubisoft that the company has struck a deal with Sony Computer Entertainment to include the original Assassin’s Creed with Assassin’s Creed Revelations, as we reported about six hours ago. All day one copies will include Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad’s original adventure, allowing newcomers to revisit the story that started it all.
THE BUZZ: PlayStation France may have accidentally let slip some interesting information regarding the PlayStation 3 release of Assassin’s Creed Revelations.
On their official Twitter account they mentioned they wrote, “Ubisoft revealed that the PS3 version of Assassin’s Creed Revelations will also include the first Assassin’s Creed on the disc.”
This tweet has since been removed.
EGM’s TAKE: It’s good to see Ubisoft and Sony giving something back to the fans that turned the Assassin’s Creed series into such a huge hit. While the original AC doesn’t quite live up to the sequels staring Ezio, it’s still worth playing, especially if you jumped in with AC2.
