THE BUZZ: Japanese publisher and developer Atlus has teased fans with a possible Persona 5 reveal this year.
Speaking in the latest issue of Famitsu it said, ”That title you’ve been waiting for may be announced.” Although Persona 5 isn’t specifically mentioned it’s hard top imagine what other title fans could be waiting for.
EGM’s TAKE: It’s pretty much a done deal that the announcement is a new Persona game, so now it’s just a matter of waiting for fans.
As well, given that Catherine was seen by many as being a test by the Persona team in bringing their work to HD consoles, many are assuming that Persona 5 will be released both for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360—marking the first time the series would appear on a non-PlayStation platform.
