RUMOR: Battlefield 4 Survey Details DLC

Posted on May 3, 2013 AT 12:21pm

According to NeoGAF user “Jibbajabbawockky,” an online survey they took for Battlefield 4 detailed  three of the upcoming first-person shooter’s DLC add-ons.

By their description, one DLC add-on will be Battlefield 3′s Operation Metro and Caspian Border remade in the Frostbite 3 engine, which will also include new weapons and classes. The online survey poled survey takers on the DLC’s name, which included Battlefield 4 Recommissioned, Battlefield 4 Reenlisted, Battlefield 4 War Torn, and Battlefield 4 Reconstructed.

The Second DLC will supposedly revolve around naval combat, introducing new naval vehicles and boasting coastal batteries.

The last DLC detailed in the survey—provided the NeoGAF user in question isn’t having flashbacks of Ubisoft’s Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon—will possibly be a co-op oriented mode that pits players against dinosaurs, using only primitive weapons (including bow and arrow).

As with all rumors and hearsay, take this information with a grain of salt. But it’s worth noting that despite how absurd dinosaur battles may sound, it’s not uncommon for serious shooters to get sillier DLC.

Battlefield 4 launches this fall—possibly October 31—for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and the next Xbox console (set to be revealed May 21).
