THE BUZZ: The epic Bayonetta 2 rumor saga continues, as a new source claims that a Bayonetta reveal will occur at the Tokyo Game Show this week.

According to TSSZ, a source close to Sega has said to expect a Bayonetta announcement “fairly soon,” which could easily coincide with TGS this week. The source didn’t confirm if this was indeed the much anticipated sequel or a spin-off, however he did mention that Sega Sammy’s animation studio Marza animation Planet is working on an animated addition to the franchise, so this could well be what is announced.

Last month Platinum Games’ Hideki Kamiya teased a reveal of the sequel in a games magazine, sadly this was later dismissed as a joke by Atsushi Inaba also of Platinum.

EGM’s TAKE: We’re not going to get our hopes up as we’ve been burned too many times, although there is no smoke without fire. We will have to wait until TGS to learn the truth.
