Racing fans went crazy for Codemaster’s GRID when it released back in 2008, but one question has since been asked by fans: When are we going to get a sequel? Well a new source suggests it may be coming before the end of the year.
The rumor page of the latest issue of Official Xbox Magazine gives GRID fans, like me, a reason to get excited. “The GRID team at Codemasters is actively working on GRID 2. It’s likely to arrive after the release of F1 2012,” it reads.
F1 2012 is expected to release in September, which means that GRID 2 could be out by Christmas. It’s unlikely, but there’s at least a possibility. A more realistic window would be early 2013. A GRID sequel has been on the cards for the last couple of years, and with Codemasters recently making the shift to a dedicated racing developer, now would be the perfect time to release it.
What would you like to see Codemasters do differently in GRID 2?
