An anonymous source, who claims to be close to the publishers, got into contact with Kotaku saying that the decision is based on ”the issues and reviews” surrounding Rage’s recent launch. The publishers say that these show ”a serious lack of confidence in the project management at id.”
EGM’s TAKE: Honestly, this doesn’t make much sense to us. Rage has garnered a perfectly respectable 81 Metacritic score, with many very high reviews, and sales at around a million copies so far. Since this information is from an anonymous source we don’t put too much trust in it.
If this turns out to be true is it the right thing for the publisher to do? Leave your thoughts below.
