RUMOR: Dragon Age III Delayed to 2014, Moved To Next-Gen Consoles

It’s never fun when games get delayed, but if this little tidbit about Dragon Age III ends up true, a delay to 2014 might actually be a good thing.
Spotter by Superannuation over on Kotaku, EA Shanghai designer Tao Gu had this very interesting tidbit on his Linkedin page (spelling mistakes left intact):
Dragon Age III
March 2012 to September 2012 Electronic Arts
Team Members: Tao Gu
- Lead Level Designer for EASH team
- In charge of concent and layout design from paper to engine for vertical slice
- Scope of the DAIII has been chaged, which will target next gen platform and will be postpone to 2014.
Wait, hang on—that’s a pretty big detail to have on one’s digital resume! Though I’m not sure what exactly EA Shanghai would be helping BioWare out with in terms of DAIII development, this doesn’t seem like the kind of thing one would just willy-nilly put up on their resume.
So—if all of this is true, and Tao Gu isn’t mistaken in his understanding of the situation—Dragon Age III would be delayed to 2014 in order to make it an early launch title for the next Xbox or PlayStation (or assumedly both). Not only would that help the game not get lost in the final days of the Xbox 360 and PS3, but it’d also make for one hell of a nice pick-up for your shiny new next-get console.
What do you think? Do you like the idea of Dragon Age III being delayed to 2014 to move it to next-get platforms? And if you’re a PC person, would you now be mad to see the game delayed for the benefit of new consoles?
