THE BUZZ: According to an inside source, EA plans to expand the Dead Space franchise with an FPS and flight game set in the universe.
The insider told Kotaku that these would then be followed by an “uncharted in space” game. The source also claims that Dead Space 3 was almost cancelled at one point but will be moving forward, complete with co-op and a new icy planet setting.
EGM’s TAKE: These projects are yet to be confirmed by EA so take them with a pinch of salt, but it would make sense to try something different with the franchise in order to increase sales.
