RUMOR: EA to Reveal COD: Elite Rival Battlefield Premium at E3
Posted on May 14, 2012 AT 02:07pm

EA are set to unveil Battlefield Premium, a rival to Activision’s subscription service Call of Duty: Elite, at E3 next month according to a new report.
The reveal is expect to be made June 4 during EA’s press conference. ”Battlefield Premium will land you a number of content drops with unique in-game items not available anywhere else,” according to Battlefieldo. ”First out is the one-of-a-kind Premium knife and black dog tag, plus a set of soldier camos, weapon camos, dog tags and Assignments that will make sure you stand out and get more personalization options.”
No further details were offered. The Elite subscription service is the final thing that Activision has over EA. The Battlelog is currently a free service and we expect it to stay that way, there’s no way EA would jeopardize that. It appears that it will offer more cosmetic options to allow players to stand out. It’s a nice idea, that we’re sure fans will welcome with open arms as long as it doesn’t start to fragment the community in anyway similar to how Elite has.
Do you like the idea of a premium service? What types of items should be offered?
