RUMOR: First Promo Art for Battlefield 4 Uncovered?
Posted on March 16, 2013 AT 01:00pm

While I’m still not exactly sure where this image originated from, an interesting new Battlefield 4-related piece of artwork has now hit the internet.
Earlier today, it was confirmed that EA’s upcoming event on March 26th would indeed feature the unveiling of the next major chapter of the Battlefield franchise. Now, however, the image below was posted over on internet message forum NeoGAF (the exact source of the image, however, isn’t know at the moment).
Some on NeoGAF pointed out that the background city bears a resemblance to Shanghai—which would, of course, connect beautifully with talk that China will be a major faction in the game. Also, the element of rain in this image (and the invites) is pretty interesting. Could dynamic weather conditions be one of the elements of Battlefield 4? I love me some snow stages, so a map with realtime, ever-changing winter weather could be a whole lot of fun.
Anyhow, it’ll only be a week and a few days until EA and DICE are really to officially introduce the game to the world, so we won’t have long to wait to find out more. Also, you’ve got to give a bit of credit to Sony here. Because of when they announced the PlayStation 4, EA will be able to talk about and show off the PS4 version of Battlefield 4—while not being able to say anything about the game’s release on the next Xbox.
