GameStop stores across the U.S. will start selling Steam voucher cards starting next week, according to a recent report.
A source has told Kotaku that the store will begin selling the vouchers starting May 15, opening up Steam purchases to players that don’t wish to put their credit card details into the service. The source supplied the picture found below and states that the deal is a bitter sweet one, as it is not the ideal way for either firm to do business.
The major positive – if this rumor turns out to be true – is that it opens up Steam gaming to a whole new section of gamers. Since various firms started getting hacked, many are worried about putting their credit card details online. It worked for Apple, so it makes sense for Steam to head down this route also.
