Gerard Butler and Vin Diesel are in talks to take the leading roles in an upcoming Kane and Lynch film, according to a new report. Butler is set to play Kane with Diesel taking the role of Lynch.

There’s also a new director on board, according to the Hollywood Reporter, in the form of F. Gary Gray, who was in charge of 2009’s Law Abiding Citizen. Talk of a Kane and Lynch film started back in 2007, with Bruce Willis and Jamie Foxx in line for the leading roles.

Willis was still attached to the project in 2009, but it lost its director in 2010, and then fell completely off the radar.
