THE BUZZ: GTA V was officially announced yesterday and as expected the rumors have started to circulate. One claims the game will be set in a real life version of Los Angeles, and an insider source has since added some strength to this rumor.

Kotaku claims that “a source familiar with the game” has revealed that the GTA V Los Angeles rumors ”are true.” The source revealed that the game will be set in ”some version of L.A” and that there will be more than one playable character.

EGM’s TAKE: Multiple playable characters and a real life setting would be a first for the GTA series. It would appear that Rockstar is planning on pushing GTA farther than it’s ever gone before.
