Microsoft has commissioned a new entry in the Project Gotham Racing series for its next generation console, according to a new report.

According to an online report–later backed up by a Polygon journalistProject Gotham Racing 5 is in development at Liverpool-based Lucid Games. Lucid was formed in 2011 and is comprised of former Bizarre Creations, Rare, Slightly Mad Studios, and SCE Studio Liverpool employees.

To add to the rumors, an image on the developer’s official website shows an empty London street with a sign reading “Road Opens 2013.”
