THE BUZZ: Another interesting rumor to throw into the God of War IV pile—this time as a listing for pre-orders for the game and an estimated release date.

EGM’s TAKE: This information was posted by South African game retailer BT Games. Sure, might seem like a strange source—until I then bring up the fact that they were the ones to first list the PS3 Jak & Daxter Collection before it had been officially announced.

So, while you should still take all of this with a grain of salt, there’s reason to not totally discount it. According to the BT Games website, pre-orders are being taken for the game with an ETA of February 2013.

If Sony is gearing up to release a God of War IV early next year, then it’d be pretty likely to see something about the game revealed at this year’s E3.
