THE BUZZ: Daishi Odashima, Game Director for Soul Calibur V, has hinted that a Soul Calibur HD collection might be in the works soon.

He mentioned on his Twitter account:

“We are thinking of releasing past SC series as DLC.”

Many companies are releasing HD collections at the moment, including Sony, Ubisoft and Konami, so it’s no surprise to see Namco Bandai considering it also. If they did decide to go ahead with the plan, it’s likely that the three original games would receive the HD treatment.

EGM’s TAKE: With HD collections proving to be a great source of income for publishers at the moment, we wouldn’t be surprised if this plan was put into action.
