THE BUZZ: Sources have claimed to see the long rumored TimeSplitters 4 in action.

These sources have told Official Xbox Magazine that the game is in development at Crytek and they have seen in running.

In their latest issue the magazine writes: ”Trusted OXM sources have claimed that they’ve seen TimeSplitters 4 running. That’s no guarantee that it’ll be released – at least one version of Star Wars: Battlefront 3 was cancelled without ever being announced – but it’s a promising sign.”

EGM’s TAKE: Crytek has said on several occasions that it would love to revisit the franchise at some point. Fans have been begging for a sequel ever since the third game released. There have been several rumors regarding the game actually being in development, with a couple claiming that it will be released as a launch title for the next-generation of consoles. The first indication we will get is a re-release of the first three games, maybe a HD collection of some kind, in order to get people re-acquainted with the franchise before announcing a sequel.
